Job Description

Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a leading company in the telecommunications industry? America Fujikura Limited (AFL) is on the hunt for dynamic, Junior Data Analyst to join our Canadian Operations.

We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst with a strong computer science background to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to 2 years of professional experience in software development. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software engineering principles, object-oriented programming (OOP), and web development. While prior experience with Dynamics 365 or Power Platform is not required, an interest in learning business applications and cloud-based solutions is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development & Customization
2. Support the execution of solving business challenges using the Power Platform and O365.
3. Maintain and develop Power BI reports for the PMO.
4. Integrate data between internal and external systems (Customers)
5. Work on both front-end and back-end components of web applications.
6. Assist in developing and optimizing REST APIs and integrating applications.
7. Participate in the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment.

Data & System Integration

1. Work with relational databases such as SQL Server to manage and query data.
2. Assist in integrating different systems using APIs and cloud-based services.
3. Learn and implement Microsoft technologies such as Power Platform, Azure Functions, and Dataverse.

Testing & Quality Assurance

1. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and troubleshoot issues.
2. Follow best practices for code quality, security, and performance.

Learning & Growth

1. Gain hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and Azure.
2. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
3. Participate in team discussions, technical workshops, and code reviews.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. 0-2 years of experience in software development (internships, co-ops, or personal projects count!).

Technical Skills

1. Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, or Python).
2. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database management.
3. Familiarity with SQL databases and writing efficient queries.
4. Understanding of cloud computing concepts (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is a plus).

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
2. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
3. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
4. Detail-oriented and organized approach to coding and documentation.

Preferred (but Not Required) Skills

1. Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
2. Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
3. Interest in business applications and enterprise software solutions.
