Job description

VIA Rail Canada Inc. is currently seeking Station Service Attendants/Counter Sales Agents to work in London (and occasionally Windsor).

Your idea of excellent customer service involves warmly greeting people and addressing their needs with diligence, efficiency, and heartfelt appreciation. We share this belief and have built our reputation on providing excellent service in a safe and secure environment.

You will guide passengers in the station or on the platform and will be responsible for:

  • Verifying tickets
  • Making announcements and providing information on train arrivals, departures, and delays
  • Assisting passengers with special needs
  • Performing general janitorial duties in and outside the station

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Handling baggage, packages, or other items such as sports equipment
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Operating a motorized vehicle in narrow areas
  • Loading supplies onto the train
Some Important Details About The Job

Work Location: London and occasionally Windsor

Schedule:

  • Variable schedule including weekends and holidays (minimum 20 hours guaranteed)
  • Shifts between 4 and 10 hours, starting as early as 6:30 am and ending as late as 11:00 pm (subject to train delays)
  • Layoffs during low season

Salary: $25.89/h to $29.99/h

Training: Starting June 23, 2025

Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills in English and French with a friendly smile
  • High School Diploma
  • At least one year of customer service experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Physical ability to handle items weighing up to 23kg repeatedly
