Pembina Pipeline Corporation is a dynamic energy transportation and midstream provider, serving customers for more than 65 years. Overview:

Our Oilsands/Conventional Business Unit is seeking a Pipeline Operator based in Sherwood Park, reporting to the Day Foreman. The role involves performing pipeline operational and maintenance duties.

Our network includes pipelines and infrastructure across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and North Dakota, transporting crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids. We are among Canada's largest oil sands and heavy oil pipeline operators, managing extensive terminal operations, providing long-term transportation services.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  1. Support safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the Life Saving Rules.
  2. Complete assignments safely, efficiently, and environmentally consciously.
  3. Maintain daily pipeline operations, including measurement, product quality, inspections, integrity, and pigging.
  4. Perform and assist with pipeline maintenance.
  5. Respond to system upsets, determine causes, and resolve issues.
  6. Manage contractors and oversee maintenance activities.
  7. Liaise with the public and industry partners.
  8. Maintain equipment and vehicles in proper condition.
  9. Work out of town on projects and adapt to schedule changes.
  10. Participate in on-call rotations.
  11. Support an inclusive and diverse workplace.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of pipeline-related experience.
  • Experience with ground disturbance and underground facility locating is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and schematics.
  • Strong organizational, collaborative, and communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

This position is safety-sensitive and requires pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, including marijuana. A driver’s abstract may also be required. Candidates must reside within 100 km of Sherwood Park, AB.

Pembina offers flexible work options, including remote work on Fridays for eligible employees. Final candidates will undergo background checks and must be legally authorized to work in the country.
