Job description

The Oncology Care Area Leader (Canada) will own the business, market development, and downstream portfolio leadership of the oncology solutions franchise. This role will assist and contribute to the coordination of One GEHC account activities in conjunction with the Global Oncology solutions team, Imaging Market Leaders, Market General Managers, and their teams to maximize business results and customer satisfaction in the oncology market segment. The Oncology Care Area Leader, Canada is expected to act as a conduit back to Modality Leadership to capture evolving market and customer needs to drive continuous product innovation tailored to local market needs.

The Oncology Care Area Leader, Canada will identify business opportunities, understand customer needs, tailor value propositions, and lead commercial deals. The incumbent will have a clear understanding of Oncology pathways and will demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with key customers at the strategic level.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  1. Achieve quarterly and yearly Product / Solution / Service P&L Operating Plan targets, especially in Dedicated Cancer Centers (DCC) & Oncology Specialty Centers (OSC). Focus on driving pipeline growth, Win Rate, Share, Visibility & New Leads, particularly around simulation & advanced detection products such as CT / MRI Sim, PET CT solutions, and 3P partnered solutions in radiation oncology centers.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline and sales within reporting cycles across regions and provinces.
  3. Conduct infield coaching sessions with cross-functional teams on topics including oncology trends, territory management, opportunity management, customer needs, value differentiation, and sales techniques. Provide regular development feedback.
  4. Support Key Opinion Leader relationships and grow overall market share in the geographical areas. Develop thought leadership on GE Healthcare's Oncology products & solutions.
  5. Develop deep clinical and technical knowledge, staying aware of healthcare technology trends and funding mechanisms.
  6. Act as a reference point for regional account teams on product differentiation.
  7. Drive business development, including inorganic and organic partnerships, and the commercialization of digital, software, and care pathway solutions.
  8. Develop and launch new products, services, and solutions, managing their lifecycle and multi-generational roadmaps.

In this role you will:

  1. Deeply understand the customer ecosystem in oncology, especially Radiation Oncology, to innovate and support business growth aligned with segment targets.
  2. Lead complex projects related to clinical pathways and enterprise solutions, from inception to post-deal, using outcome-based selling and mapping patient care workflows.
  3. Make informed investment decisions based on market opportunities, trends, risks, and partnerships. Operationalize GEHC propositions for strategic success.
  4. Manage downstream Oncology Solutions, including roadmaps and product lifecycle processes.
  5. Build relationships across GE businesses, partners, and senior management at customer organizations.
  6. Collaborate across sales, marketing, engineering, and management teams to execute strategies.
  7. Travel regionally as needed.
  8. Create demonstration sites to showcase GE solutions and ensure smooth project execution.
  9. Support digital, consulting, and financial capabilities in solution deals.
  10. Serve as a senior advisor and coach to customers, helping scope problems and architect solutions leveraging GEHC’s portfolio.
  11. Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and lead local solution teams.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  2. 7-10 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting, with progressive leadership roles and in-depth healthcare market knowledge.
  3. Experience in oncology product/clinical marketing is advantageous. 3-5 years in sales, strategy, or related functions is also beneficial.
  4. Strong leadership, sales coaching, negotiation, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  5. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging at all organizational levels.
  6. Ability to build rapport and influence within organizations.
  7. Residence in Canada, preferably Toronto or Montreal.
