We are seeking Information and Communications Technology design professionals with experience in structured cabling, network infrastructure, and some familiarity with Security or AV system design. Candidates should know how to create design documents in Revit and AutoCAD, conduct site visits, and communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in person. The role involves applying technical skills to produce high-quality deliverables and collaborating with diverse teams.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design structured cabling systems for buildings, campuses, and tenant spaces, producing drawings and specifications such as cover sheets, floor plans, riser diagrams, and details.
• Update specifications to align with client needs or standards.
• Ensure designs comply with local, provincial, and federal codes.
• Collaborate and coordinate with project managers and team members.
• Identify solutions to design challenges and communicate unresolved issues for review.
• Engage with manufacturers and contractors to address challenges and develop solutions.
• Provide contract documents that meet code and quality standards.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews, accepting constructive feedback and asking questions.
• Attend site visits and client meetings as needed.
• Proactively expand skills through cross-training and training sessions.
• Contribute to meetings, initiatives, and projects supporting business goals.
• Work in a hybrid schedule with flexible hours based on project needs.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Proficiency in BIM software, especially AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.
• Experience with diverse project types and sizes, including high-rise offices, residential, healthcare, civic, and data centers.
• Knowledge of network, wireless, access control, and audiovisual design requirements.
• Ability to prepare detailed design drawings under supervision.
• Skill in integrating design elements across disciplines for coordinated outcomes.
• Basic understanding of applicable codes and standards such as ANSI/TIA and BICSI.
• Professional demeanor demonstrating credibility and trustworthiness.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to prepare reports and clarify details for team and clients.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, with 5 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• RCDD certification or preparation for the RCDD exam is preferred.
