Job description

This role is for a Specialized IT Consultant focused on supporting the Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) infrastructure of a critical Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS). The consultant will provide 24x7 support, ensuring the ongoing operation and successful migration of the system. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, managing upgrades and configurations, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating effectively with client teams. Recent experience with similar projects (within the last 5 years) is crucial.

Responsibilities :

• Provide technical support for Oracle database and application updates, migrations, and upgrades.
• Upgrade and reconfigure Oracle Cloud Control and ODA infrastructure.
• Manage ODA network configurations (IP addresses, VLAN topology) and VM relocation, backup, and restoration.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including regular monitoring, health checks, space analysis, patch installations, and system troubleshooting.
• Maintain and manage production, standby, and emergency environments, including user access controls.
• Interface with Oracle to manage service requests, incidents, and hardware repairs / replacements.
• Work closely and collaboratively with client teams, participating in frequent meetings and status updates.

Required Skills & Certifications :

• Practical experience with Oracle DB systems, 19C, RAC, and VM provisioning on ODA X9 family.
• Expertise in Oracle Standby Database Architecture and Data Guard.
• Experience with Oracle Weblogic, Fusion Middleware, and JEOS Linux.
• Experience applying patches, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on ODAs.
• Strong project management, organizational, and client communication skills.
• Ability to build effective client relationships and deliver high-quality results.
• Certifications in Oracle DBA, ODA, VM, RAC, Performance Tuning, Enterprise Manager, and Linux.
