Job description

Slegg Building Materials is seeking a Full-Time Forklift Operator - Order Builder to join our team. The shifts are Monday - Friday 9am-5 : 30pm. The pay range is $21.75 - $26.25 per hour (Tier 1; $21.75 - $24.00, Tier 2; $24.00 - $26.25).

Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
  • Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priorities
  • Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete required forms
  • Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met
  • Build orders to required specifications for delivery
  • Load and unload building materials in a safe and efficient manner
  • Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials
  • Ensure that all products are shipped on schedule and according to specific instructions by management to meet customer demands
  • Maintain contact with supervisor(s) and work to resolve issues as they arise
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • A broad knowledge of building supplies
  • Forklift experience is essential
  • Effective communication skills and ability to read and speak English
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics
  • Basic hand tool skills
  • Physical requirements include : Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbsSitting and driving for longs periods of timeFrequently climbing up and down stairsPulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight

The Location - Cumberland, 3217 Small Road.
