SUNY Cortland is seeking an Economics Department Tutor for Fall 2026. The tutor will conduct one-on-one or small-group sessions in the Economics Department, with sessions typically one hour per week and extra hours during midterms and finals as needed.
Applicants must be current SUNY Cortland students and must have taken and earned a B+ or higher in the relevant course, with recommendation by the instructor. Spaces are assigned by the department, and a sign-in sheet is required upon arrival.

Conduct one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions.
One Hour a week normally; Two hours allowed for Midterm and Finals Weeks. MUST USE SIGN IN SHEET WITH ALL STUDENTS UPON THEIR ARRIVAL !
TBD based on tutor and student availability. Maximum of one hour worked per week unless the demand for tutoring gets higher. Students will converse with supervisor, Tasie Fox, to log any extra hours and student attendance.
Location varies. We set each tutor up in their own space within one of the office suites in the Economics Department in Moffett Center. Administrative Assistant, Tasie Fox, sets up the spaces.
Must be a current SUNY Cortland student
Must have taken and received a grade of B+ or higher in the course(s) AND be recommended by the instructor. Students who are not recommended by the instructor are NOT considered.
None. If anything is too demanding for some reason we can ALWAYS alter the task to be less demanding or more comfortable.
Must be recommended by the Professor of the course the applicant wants to tutor. Applicants who are not recommended by the Professor of the course will NOT be considered.
Salary Grade A-$16.00/hr.
