Job summary

SUNY Cortland is seeking an Economics Department Tutor for Fall 2026. The tutor will conduct one-on-one or small-group sessions in the Economics Department, with sessions typically one hour per week and extra hours during midterms and finals as needed.

Applicants must be current SUNY Cortland students and must have taken and earned a B+ or higher in the relevant course, with recommendation by the instructor. Spaces are assigned by the department, and a sign-in sheet is required upon arrival.

Qualifications

• Must be a current SUNY Cortland student.
• Must have taken and received a grade of B+ or higher in the course(s) and be recommended by the instructor.
• Must be recommended by the Professor of the course the applicant wants to tutor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions.
• One Hour a week normally; Two hours allowed for Midterm and Finals Weeks; MUST USE SIGN IN SHEET WITH ALL STUDENTS UPON THEIR ARRIVAL.
