Job summary

Le Club Child Care Program in Vaughan, Ontario is recruiting Early Childhood Educators for our new full-day centre opening this fall. This is a full‑time, permanent position within a supportive team.

You will help run day‑to‑day centre operations, follow the Ministry of Education policies, and maintain accurate records, while delivering inclusive programs that support children’s Self of Belonging, Well‑Being, Engagement, and Expression.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Early Childhood Educator or hold a diploma/degree in a related field with minimum 3 years of experience with toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification required prior to starting.
• Vulnerable Sector Screening required.
• Food Handler certificate required.
• Must rotate shifts to cover centre hours of operation.
• Able to perform frequent light to medium physical effort (lifting up to 20 kg).

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of the centre and address the needs and interests of children.
• Follow program policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements from the Ministry of Education and Child Care Early Years.
• Maintain accurate records, files and forms as required by the Ministry and Head Office.

Le Club Child Care Program operates 14 before and after school programs in York Region. In September 2023 we are excited to be opening a new full day child care centre. We are currently recruiting for Early Childhood Educators for our centre.

At Le Club Child Care Program, our philosophy is inspired by the approaches of educators in Reggio Emilia as well as resources and guidelines offered through "How does Learning Happen?: Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years".

• Support day to day operations of the centre including but not limited to interests and needs of children.
• Follow and ensure the program policies and procedures, as well as the day-to-day operation, are in accordance with the regulations of the Program and The Ministry of Education, Child Care Early Years.
• Maintain accurate records, files and forms as required by the Ministry of Education and Head Office.

Education and Skills Qualifications:

• A Registered Early Childhood Educator or diploma or degree in a related field of study combined with a minimum of 3 years of related experience working with toddlers, preschoolers and school age children.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification required prior to starting.
• Vulnerable Sector Screening required.
• Food Handler certificate required.
• Required to rotate shifts that cover the full hours of operation of the centre.
• Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending, and stooping.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00 per hour plus government wage subsidy.
