Job summary

Upper Canada Child Care in Woodbridge at Mackenzie Glen PS invites Registered Early Childhood Educators or equivalent to join our team for a full-time split-shift position (25 hours/week) in our before and after school programs.

Deliver developmentally appropriate, inquiry/play based programs aligned with Ministry of Education guidelines. We value collaboration, ongoing training, and strong communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (or approved equivalency) from a recognized college or university.
• Recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
• At least 18 years of age due to licensing requirements.
• Health assessment and up-to-date immunization records as required.
• Registration with the College of ECEs (if applicable).
• Certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid (training provided).
• Experience with inquiry/play based program design and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Apply professional knowledge of child development to support Ministry of Education requirements.
• Engage with children to provide a positive learning experience and support meals, toileting, dressing, etc.
• Complete program charts, logs, reports and other administration tasks.
• Provide guidance to assistants, students and volunteers as needed.
• Collaborate with parents, attend meetings, and communicate about the program and children.
• Use Storypark for pedagogical documentation to guide program development.
• Identify children needing additional support and help design individualized plans.
