Job description

Our client, an employer at the forefront of their industry, is searching for an energetic, technically competent, and driven individual for the role of Chief Technology Officer. Using bespoke production and performance technology, our client aims to create a product that is not only sustainable lithium battery technology, cost-effective, and of superior quality, but also constantly evolving to stay relevant from both environmental and social perspectives.

Responsibilities :

1. Establish product and production technology development for lithium anode products and lithium metal.
2. Create a battery testing program, including battery testing and metrology.
3. Oversee the growth of scientific and engineering teams.
4. Establish and execute IP strategies for the company's products and technologies.
5. Serve as a technical representative of the company in private and public settings.

Requirements :

1. PhD or Master's degree and/or equivalent experience (10+ years) in battery development or related fields.
2. Extensive knowledge of surface characterization techniques (XPS, Raman, FT-IR, etc.) and battery electrochemical testing methods.
3. Previous experience testing lithium metal anodes and lithium metal batteries with both solid- and liquid-electrolyte cell designs is preferred.
4. Experience with physical vapor deposition (PVD) is a plus.
