Our Platform Engineering Team is working to solve the Multiplicity Problem. We are trusted by some of the most reputable and established FinTech Firms. Recently, our team has spearheaded the Conversion & Go Live of apps that support the backbone of the Financial Trading Industry.

We are looking for a Highly driven CTO who will be responsible for overseeing application SRE (Site Reliability Engineering), Testing Frameworks & Automation, DevOps & Cloud Enablement, Standard Platforms, User Experience Platforms & Developer Experience Platforms, of the company, driving our technology strategy, and ensuring the alignment of our tech capabilities with business goals.

The CTO will lead a diverse team of engineers, developers, and IT professionals to build and maintain our cutting-edge financial platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of application reliability, automation, cloud enablement, data platforms, user experience, and developer productivity.

We are looking for a leader who can

  • Define the Roadmap for the Platform Engineering function and its key pillars (SRE, Dev Ops, UX, DX, APIs, Data)
  • Establish OKRs with key business outcomes, activities and KPIs for each pillar
  • Define the Operating Model for each Platform pillars
  • Work with Application teams to drive adoption of standards and best practices
  • Define a Capability Maturity Model and key metrics to measure adoption
  • Work with the Platform Engineering team to implement OKRs and KPIs
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of engineers, developers, and IT professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development of technical staff.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the company’s SaaS platform and products.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of all technology solutions.
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Monitor technology performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
  • Drive research and development efforts to explore new technologies and solutions.
  • Encourage and facilitate innovation within the technology team.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance product offerings.

Tech & Leadership Skills

  • Lead the implementation of NFRs (Non-Functional Requirements) & SLO (Service Level Objectives) methodologies and standards.
  • Enhance application resiliency and stability through automation.
  • Manage TOL (Technical Operation Levels) and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Oversee platform and portfolio risk assessments, including EOL (End of Life), ViOS (Vital Operating Statistics), and deep dives.
  • Supervise incident management for applications and enable SWAT teams for rapid response.
  • Chair the Service / Operations Council.
  • Develop and oversee test methodologies and data management.
  • Manage automation frameworks and NFR (Non-Functional Requirements) testing.
  • Utilize advanced test tools to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Drive CI / CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) strategies and application standardization.
  • Implement accelerators and enablers for automation technology.
  • Enhance cloud enablement within applications, including virtualization.
  • Improve application resiliency and observability.
  • Implement FinOps (Financial Operations) strategies for application costing.
  • Establish data / database standards, security, and resiliency.
  • Oversee platform reporting and governance.
  • Manage internal reporting tools (e.g., Jira), Cognos, API Gateway, portal, policy, governance, and integration of tools like Kafka and MQ for file transfer.
  • Develop external and internal workstation frameworks.
  • Oversee design components, including FOI (Field of Interest) UI and low-code UI.
  • Focus on improving UX (User Experience) for both internal and external users.
  • Enhance developer productivity and experience.
  • Foster process improvement and engineering metrics.
  • Provide coaching and development tools, including IDEs and general accelerators.
  • Advocate for continuous developer engagement and community advocacy.
  • Deep understanding of software development, architecture, and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory requirements in the Fintech industry.
  • Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with AI, machine learning, and data analytics in the Fintech space.
  • Familiarity with blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies.
  • Previous experience in a startup or high-growth company environment.
  • Advanced certifications in technology management or related areas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology roles, preferably in the fintech industry.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), automation tools (Terraform, Ansible), programming languages (Java, Python), and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large technical teams, drive strategic initiatives, and manage complex projects.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and prior experience in fintech or financial services.
