Job Description:

University Canada West is seeking applications for multiple continuing track faculty positions within the Master of Business Administration program, Department of Quantitative Studies. The courses include Accounting for Managers, Financial Management, Investment Analysis and Management, Personal Finance Planning, Global Financial Institutions Management, and Sustainability & Finance. A Financial Accounting Workshop is also offered.

We are specifically looking for faculty with experience and ability to teach Financial Management.

Ideal candidates are highly talented, motivated, and qualified professionals prepared for the next career challenge to teach at our Vancouver campuses. Responsibilities include student support, participation in committee meetings, and professional activities related to their discipline. Candidates should have a record of scholarly activity or research, along with successful teaching experience.

Qualifications:
  • A doctoral degree (Ph.D. in Finance or related fields, or Doctor of Business Administration) from an accredited institution, or
  • A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in financial topics at the graduate level, or extensive relevant industry experience (e.g., Finance Manager, CFO, Financial Advisor).
  • Additional finance designations (CFP, FRM, etc.) are assets.
  • Ability to teach finance concepts up to an MBA level and assess students appropriately.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Understanding of and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to attend in-person classes at the Vancouver campus.
