Position: Wireless Systems Designer, Atlantic Wireless Network RF, Engineering & Planning

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, augmenting, and optimizing the Rogers Wireless radio access network.

What You'll Do
  1. RF engineering and design of the Rogers Wireless radio access network, including GSM/UMTS/LTE/NR/CatM/NBIOT technologies.
  2. Apply propagation, cellular, and antenna theory, along with RF engineering tools, to optimize network coverage, capacity, and performance.
  3. Produce and review RF-related tasks and documentation, including RF site studies, collocation requests, civil and RF work orders, and compliance reports.
  4. Use network performance tools to analyze KPIs and resolve issues.
  5. Support network changes and technology upgrades, including frequency planning and interference mitigation.
  6. Respond to internal and external requests regarding network design and performance.
  7. Maintain engineering documentation and prepare professional presentations when needed.
  8. Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
What You Bring
  1. At least 2 years of experience in wireless telecom industry.
  2. Strong background in radio network design for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks.
  3. Knowledge of network KPIs and parameters, preferably with Ericsson OSS and ENM platforms experience.
  4. Degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, or Computer Engineering; PE designation preferred.
  5. Understanding of radio protocols, propagation principles, and RF safety standards.
  6. Proficiency with RF planning tools, Microsoft Office, VBA, Power BI, Python, SQL, and related software.
  7. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Additional Information

Full-time, day shift, located at 377 York Street, Fredericton, NB, with up to 10% travel. Background checks required.
