Overview

The Porter / Steward supports kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, ensuring proper sanitation, and assisting with kitchen deliveries. The Porter / Steward plays a crucial role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by handling dishwashing, organization, and maintaining a hygienic work environment. Must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00 CAD.

This is a seasonal role from approximately June 1, 2025- October 15, 2025.

EVERGREEN ROLE : Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse and sanitize kitchen equipment such as dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, utensils and all necessary tools and equipment for kitchen and restaurant use.
• Sort, stack dishes, and load / unload dishwasher.
• Maintain the cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls as well as shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assist with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Ensure all breakages and chipped items are removed from circulation and must be inventoried.
• Must arrive to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work.
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.
