Group Summary

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are shaping the future of mobility. Combining deep systems knowledge, we develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent vision systems, and advanced automotive lighting technologies. Job Responsibilities

1. Follows and supports Magna’s operating principles.
2. Plans, designs, implements, monitors, and administers the IT network infrastructure.
3. Conducts network hardware OS upgrades/firmware updates on all networking equipment.
4. Performs needs analysis and feasibility studies, recommending appropriate hardware and circuit requirements.
5. Assesses, tests, and implements networking software/hardware on routers and switches, utilizing various tools to optimize network performance and stability.
6. Utilizes change management software and workflow tools that interface with Active Roles Server for user account administration activities.
7. Modifies Active Roles Server directly for group membership changes and other non-standard administration activities.
8. Uses a helpdesk ticket system to prioritize, track, and document user account requests.
9. Executes periodic reports on account inactivity and follows security procedures to minimize risks.
10. Participates in yearly internal audits by providing auditors with change management documentation for user account activities.
11. Provides 1st level technical support for application software, hardware, network equipment, and other systems as needed.
12. Performs other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience

1. Completion of a 3-year college diploma in Information Technology.
2. At least 5 years of experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
3. Relevant industry certifications are preferred (ITIL, CompTIA, CCNA, CCNP, MCITP).
