Job description

Body Shop Manager

The Body Shop Manager role directs and oversees all the people and processes necessary to facilitate a quick service turnaround time to customers while ensuring their satisfaction. The position acts as a central point-of-contact between both customers and operations to provide timely, seamless services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Schedules, facilitates, drives, and oversees all shop processes from start to finish.
  2. Staffs the shop and manages all Dent Wizard personnel on site, including coordination of scheduling, training, motivation, and accountability.
  3. Optimizes the production throughput of shop Technicians to maximize billings.
  4. Appropriately utilizes all available systems, tools, and reports to track work statuses, including Mitchell Connect, Body Shop Connect, and Work in Progress (WIP) Report.
  5. Ensures invoices are submitted as soon as services are completed.
  6. Updates customers and resolves any issues or complaints.
  7. Performs light administrative duties.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience managing teams of up to 20 in a production environment.
  • Previous experience working with insurance companies.
  • Flexible, positive, coaching style.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to utilize estimating software and shop management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience managing a Body Shop or Collision Center is preferable.
