Job description

Hillfield Strathallan College (HSC) is currently seeking a dynamic, organized, and customer-focused Campus Store Coordinator to join our community. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a positive retail experience for students, staff, and families while upholding the integrity of our brand through thoughtful merchandising and seamless operations.

As a key member of our Business Office team, the Campus Store Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Campus Store — from customer service and inventory control to vendor coordination and student initiatives. This is a hands-on role for a motivated professional who enjoys balancing day-to-day retail responsibilities with collaborative campus engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and families.
  • Manage and fulfill all aspects of inventory, including receiving, stocking, tagging, and vendor relations.
  • Oversee point-of-sale activities, balance daily registers, and reconcile discrepancies with the Business Office.
  • Maintain store organization, visual displays, and cleanliness in both retail and stockroom areas.
  • Coordinate annual initiatives including yearbook orders, used book return programs, team and spirit wear.
  • Support billing functions related to books, supplies, and campus merchandise.
  • Collaborate with school departments, marketing, and athletics to align merchandise offerings with HSC branding.
  • Train and supervise summer students and ad hoc staff.
  • Support student-led retail and e-commerce initiatives in partnership with faculty and Food Services.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory counts and assist with audits and reporting.
  • Serve as a backup for the print services function and the Campus Store Printing Coordinator.
What You Bring
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a welcoming, service-oriented attitude.
  • Retail experience, particularly in merchandising, inventory, and POS systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with learning new systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and with vendors.
  • A flexible, proactive, and detail-driven mindset.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting is an asset.

If you’re a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual with a passion for service and organization, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and cover letter outlining your fit for the role, by Friday, May 16, 2025 to this.
