Job Description

The Strategy and Architecture Branch of the IT Division (ITD) seeks a seasoned Enterprise Architect to join the team. The IT Division aims to enhance capabilities in technology and services planning, strategy development, application and technology portfolio management, enterprise risk management, and governance, policies, and standards.

The Enterprise Architect will play a key role in developing business and IT strategies, architectural governance frameworks, strategic plans, and management initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with the Director of Architecture, senior leadership within ITD and GOS ministries, and other teams to ensure alignment with government and ministry priorities.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and align enterprise architecture strategies and frameworks.
2. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure architecture outcomes meet organizational priorities.
3. Contribute to maturing IT capabilities within the division.
4. Facilitate enterprise planning and develop consolidated roadmaps.
5. Ensure architectural governance frameworks are in place and strategies are aligned with business needs.
6. Create long-term strategic plans and manage related initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience working with North American Public Sector Organizations.
• Proven experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks across all domains (Business, Information, Application, Technology, Security).
• Experience with multi-year capital and operational budget planning, including TCO projections.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture and IT strategy development.
• Ability to facilitate enterprise planning and lead development of strategic roadmaps.
• Experience with architectural governance frameworks and aligning IT strategies with business needs.
• Proven ability to develop long-term strategic plans and manage initiatives.

Qualifications

Certification in TOGAF 9 or newer, with details of version and certification date provided. Validity validated through The Open Group website.

Work Details

Full-time onsite work in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, for the duration of the contract.
