BURNCO is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in a key role supporting forecasting and budgeting. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Decision Support, this individual will use various tools, including Oracle EPBCS, to create management reports, analyze data, and provide support. They will work independently and collaboratively with Controllers and business teams to deliver insightful financial modeling and analysis for strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Collect and analyze financial data from multiple sources to support decision-making.
- Conduct G&A and Capital variance analysis to identify key drivers and trends.
- Prepare Board presentations with impactful data visualizations and insights.
- Leverage a deep understanding of financial principles and Oracle EPBCS to analyze and interpret complex datasets.
- Stay current on industry trends and market developments relevant to financial planning and analytics.
- Design and develop customized EPBCS financial reports, dashboards, and models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Use Oracle SmartView and other visualization tools to manipulate data and produce meaningful reports.
- Prepare reports, charts, and graphs to communicate financial findings clearly and concisely.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy through thorough validation and quality assurance processes.
3. Technical Support & Process Improvement
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Oracle EPBCS functionalities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement data-driven solutions.

Education / Certification / Designation
- A CPA designation is preferred or degree in Business / Finance working towards a CPA, CFA, CBV, FPAC
- A university degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, with 5 years of work experience in an analytical role, with preference given towards FP&A
- Experience in construction / manufacturing an asset but not required
- Proficiency in Oracle EPBCS or similar enterprise planning and budgeting software is a plus
- Experience with business intelligence tools and / or proven ability to learn new systems quickly would be considered an asset (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)
Working Conditions
- Hybrid work environment, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
- Standard 40 hours per week with flexible start and end times.
