Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist, under the direction of the Branch or Clinical Manager, is responsible for assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring Occupational Therapy intervention.

Location: Thunder Bay

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Assessment of clients, including establishing and evaluating treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans.
  • Maintain clinical records according to College of Occupational Therapists standards.
  • Collaborate with other health team members as needed.
  • Communicate pertinent information and provide education to clients and care providers about treatment strategies.
  • Supervise and guide assistants in the Occupational Therapy program.
Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Participate in ongoing education activities.
  • Adhere to Bayshore Healthcare / Bayshore Therapy & Rehab Policies and Procedures.
  • Engage in quality improvement and continuous development initiatives.
  • Participate in health & safety activities and report risks or concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education

Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy. Registered and in good standing with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists. Must have a Driver's License and use of a vehicle.
