Reporting to the Electrical General Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align work with budget considerations that support the mine with safety and cost-conscious awareness.
- Perform daily performance coaching with employees to facilitate the best outcomes, supporting employee input and devolving responsibilities for specific workplace activities.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team regarding installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure the reliability, operability, and maintenance of defined assets and equipment.
- Manage coordinated work and establish priorities with maintenance personnel to ensure minimal operational interruptions.
- Hold Team Leaders accountable for daily/weekly performance.
- Manage preventive maintenance, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Transition the operation from reactive to reliability-centered maintenance.
- Apply Management of Change (MoC) principles to modifications and material changes to equipment or the physical environment.
- Communicate effectively and provide positive reinforcement regarding safety, work procedures, expectations, and productivity.
- Inspect work to reinforce safety and identify training needs.
- Prepare cross-shift handovers, including assembling parts and proper tagging/communication.
- Report pertinent information to the General Supervisor to ensure safe work continuation.
- Report shift progress, safety issues, and completed work to the General Supervisor.
- Identify and escalate hazards or safety issues promptly.
- Review Zero Harm cards, ensuring accurate data entry in SIMS for audit purposes, consistent with SOX requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments to plan and schedule work effectively.
- Ensure crew safety and provide necessary information and support.
- Conduct and document workplace inspections, job task evaluations, and compliance checks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Supervisor.
- Create work orders and manage stock sign-out slips.
- Record changes to design or wiring, ensuring compliance with best practices and electrical codes.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Electrician with experience in 13.8kV and 5KV systems.
- Proficient in print and schematic reading.
- Skills in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems such as SAP.
- Valid Driver's License.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience.
- Strong coaching and leadership skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions.

- 7/7 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
