The Contingent Labour Office’s (CLO) mandate is to partner with the business to enable an expedited and customer-centric approach to engaging external resources, balancing the commercial needs with risk mitigation. This is achieved by:

  2. Acting as trusted advisors, educating and challenging the status quo to find creative solutions.
  3. Delivering a customer-centric approach by minimizing administrative efforts, anticipating needs, and collaborating closely with Hiring Managers.

Location: Anywhere in Canada (virtual work opportunity, with 1-2 days in office per month for meetings)

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Leader of the Contract Labour Office (CLO), the Contract Manager will manage processes and resolve challenges related to external resources across Canada, handling over 1000 cases per year. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising and supporting Hiring Managers in engaging external resources.
  • Handling complex cases and escalations independently.
  • Managing contract revisions, risk assessments, and negotiations involving various legal and compliance considerations.
  • Collaborating with internal experts and external providers on legal, risk, and compliance issues.
  • Managing high-risk cases related to legislative compliance, security, and other regulatory requirements.
Additional Responsibilities

Including case management, continuous improvement projects, stakeholder education, reporting, and handling escalations.

Qualifications
  • College or university degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in contract labor or contingent workforce management.
  • Experience drafting third-party agreements and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of immigration, legal, and compliance issues related to resourcing.
  • Strong stakeholder management, attention to detail, and process improvement skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ServiceNow and Flextrack is an asset.

This role requires fluency in English and may involve supporting or collaborating with English-speaking colleagues and stakeholders. The salary range in BC is $73,000 to $109,500, with potential bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
