About the Opportunity
The Chief Medical Physicist reports professionally to the Head of the Radiation Therapy Service and Department of Radiation Oncology, and administratively to the Senior Director and Senior Medical Director of the Cancer Care Program. Responsibilities include overseeing medical physics services, education, and research. The role involves developing and directing graduate education, research, and departmental development. The Chief Medical Physicist ensures radiation therapy is delivered safely and effectively, adhering to national and international standards, and holds an academic appointment at Dalhousie University.
This is a permanent, full-time position on a renewable 5-year assignment.
