Position : Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Location : Galway

Experience : 2+ years

Alpine Recruitment has partnered with a growing Tier 2 Irish-based construction services company seeking to appoint an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their project team in Galway, Ireland.

Job Description for Intermediate Quantity Surveyor :

Report to senior management, assist in cost estimation, budget management, and procurement activities.

Responsibilities :

  1. Collaborate: Work with senior quantity surveyors to create cost estimates.
  2. Support: Assist in budget monitoring and control by tracking expenses and variances.
  3. Assist: Support procurement activities, source materials, and negotiate contracts.
  4. Conduct: Perform site visits and inspections to assess progress and address cost-related issues.
  5. Prepare: Generate reports and cost analyses to inform decision-making for project stakeholders.

Requirements :

  1. 2+ years of experience as a construction Quantity Surveyor.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  3. Strong financial and analytical skills.
  4. Proficiency in construction software and Microsoft Office.
  5. Familiarity with Irish construction regulations.
  6. Proactive, results-oriented, with effective communication skills.
  7. Valid driving licence.
