Job description

The Accounting Manager position is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing specialized accounting activities related to maintaining ledger accounts, developing financial statements, and reports.

Performance Expectations

• Provide monthly and yearly comparative financial information to management for planning and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain cost and profit estimates for new and existing product lines; generate monthly cost reports and trends.
• Maintain and recommend an adequate information system to measure financial and operational results.
• Work closely with management to direct and control resources.
• Maintain and recommend improvements for internal control systems.
• Coordinate and participate in preparing the Five Year Business Plan.
• Ensure all department positions are filled with qualified personnel.
• Ensure timely completion of statutory financial obligations, including audits, taxes, and government filings.
• Participate in special corporate assignments as needed.
• Conduct employee evaluations on or before the scheduled date.

Credentials

• University degree in business administration, accounting, or related field.
• CPA designation is required.
• Minimum of three to five years supervisory experience in a related field.
• Ability to prepare financial summaries and interpret organizational financial health.
• Ability to develop budgets and evaluate financial records.
• Sound decision-making skills in financial matters; ability to adapt accounting procedures as needed.
• Report critical financial trends to senior management.
• Effective interaction with co-workers, accountants, and departments.
• Proficiency with software such as Excel, IFS, and SAP BPC is preferred.
• Maintain current knowledge of accounting practices through seminars, webinars, and conferences.
