Job Overview

Miles HR has a 3 month+ contract opportunity that could transition to permanent employment for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join a downtown Vancouver organization's finance team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

This role is crucial for supporting the financial health of the organization and requires proficiency in various accounting software.

Details
  • Start: Immediately
  • Duration: 3 months with potential to become permanent
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00 (with flexibility)
  • Location: Downtown Vancouver, in-office
  • Reporting to: CEO
Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and update financial records using Sage 50.
  2. Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
  3. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  4. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  5. Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  6. Process payroll and ensure timely payment of employee wages using ADP.
  7. Prepare financial reports as needed for management review.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 and ADP.
  • Strong knowledge of account reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and related regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills for account analysis.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
