Job summary

Sodexo Live! is hiring a Pastry Cook 2 (Early Morning - Part-Time) for the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, BC. The role focuses on large-scale production of pastries, upholding Sodexo Live! standards for quality and safety, and supporting the culinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of pastry/bakery experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work under pressure. Culinary degree and Food Safe certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years experience as baker or pastry cook in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient English communication to interact with team and supervisors.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions precisely.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate bakery orders for events and daily production.
• Maintain sanitation and safety procedures according to standards.
• Set up work area and assist Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef.
• Ensure quality, taste and presentation of pastry items.
• Assist in other duties as needed to support culinary team.
