Early Learning Assistant - REGULAR
Overview

Working under the direction of the Early Childhood Educator, the Early Learning Assistant (Extended Day Program) supports childcare for students after school, including professional activity days and school breaks. Responsibilities include enhancing child-based play, guiding and modeling appropriate behavior, and supporting the program's goals. A working knowledge of English is required.

Required Qualifications
  • Completion of a High School diploma, and;
  • Minimum one (1) year post-secondary experience providing childcare to school-age children in a group setting;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Valid Standard First Aid certification/CPR Level C from a WSIB-approved provider;
  • Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector, valid within the last 6 months for new employees, and within the last 5 years for current employees;
  • Immunization Record with MMR and Tdap vaccinations;
  • Declaration of having had chickenpox or proof of immunization.
Pay Expectations

$19.79 - $24.84 + 4% vacation pay per hour.
