Job description

Early Developmental Support Worker Positions at Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports

Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports (“Linck”) is seeking four (4) contract, full-time Early Developmental Support Workers (70 hours bi-weekly). The positions will start on June 23, 2025, and end on August 29, 2025.

Hours of work may include:

  • Before school programming
  • Day programming
  • After school programming

Incumbents may be scheduled for any or all of these shifts. The worker will provide preventative and intervention services to children in a childcare environment to support children with physical, cognitive, behavioral, or emotional difficulties, enhancing their functioning and integration into the childcare program. The positions support licensed childcare centers throughout the municipality of Chatham-Kent, and travel to various locations may be required.

Salary Range: Pay Grid 9, $22.38—$28.43 per hour.

Qualifications
  • Early Childhood Education diploma, Developmental Services Worker diploma, Educational Assistant/Support diploma, Practical Nursing diploma, or related post-secondary education
  • Up to three (3) months of related experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills with the public and staff
  • Courtesy and tact in interactions with clients and colleagues
  • Computer and keyboarding skills
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
  • French language skills are an asset
  • Lifting may be required
  • Experience working with diverse cultures, heritages, and traditions is preferred, along with a commitment to providing culturally-appropriate services
