Job summary

Ottawa-Carleton District School Board seeks a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join a 10-month full-time program. The role supports Junior and Senior Kindergarten through high-quality, play-based learning, under the Principal and in collaboration with classroom teachers.

The position leads before/after-school programming at designated elementary schools, fostering inclusive, developmental growth for diverse learners and families within OCDSB’s learning communities.

Qualifications

• Two-year college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators is required.
• A minimum of one year of child care experience is required.
• Valid First Aid certification/CPR is required.
• Immunization records with MMR and Tdap, and chicken pox history or vaccination, required for OCDSB hires after Sept 1, 2022.
• Police Records Check including Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months for new hires.

Responsibilities

• Support high quality play-based education under the Principal's direction.
• Lead an extended before/after-school program for OCDSB students.
• Collaborate with classroom teacher on daily activities for JK/SK in the Early Learning Program.
