Job summary

Kepler Academy is seeking Early Childhood Educators at our Cavanagh Location in Edmonton to lead activities that support children’s growth in a safe, nurturing environment.

You will facilitate exploration through stories, songs, art, and hands-on play while planning developmentally appropriate programs and communicating with families. A commitment to ongoing learning and teamwork is essential, with opportunities for growth within a supportive organization.

Qualifications

• Certified early childhood education credential required for Alberta.
• First aid certification and a clean police check are required or in process.
• Experience in childcare is an asset and supports roles across the centres.

Responsibilities

• Lead developmentally appropriate activities to support physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth.
• Organize stories, songs and creative play; guide children through local outings and art-based exploration.
• Maintain a healthy, safe classroom environment and document progress for families.
• Assess children's needs and communicate progress with parents and staff.
• Support proper eating, dressing and hygiene habits; supervise peers when needed.
• Collaborate with coworkers and community partners to support children's needs.
• Assist with before/after school supervision and light cleaning duties.
