Job summary

CEFA Early Learning Victoria - Douglas is seeking an on-site Early Childhood Assistant to support infants and toddlers and collaborate with educators on development programs. You will document observations and help implement activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth.

Responsibilities include supervising staff and volunteers, leading storytelling and songs, and maintaining a safe, healthy classroom environment in compliance with licensing regulations.

Qualifications

• ECE Certificate required or in progress.
• First Aid and CPR certificates are required.
• Experience in child-care settings is an asset.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

TASKS

• Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity

• Knowledge of licensing regulations
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
