Job summary

Pitter Patter Learning Centres is seeking an enthusiastic early childhood educator to implement programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth at our on-site location in British Columbia. You will lead storytelling, songs, and field visits while encouraging creativity through art and movement.

Applicants should have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in child care, hold an ECE certificate and a First Aid certificate, and work closely with families and community

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Ability to observe child development and report findings to supervisors.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills when collaborating with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
