Job summary

Kidz Town Learning Centre Inc is hiring for an on-site early childhood educator role in Canada. The position requires a college/CEGEP level diploma (1–2 years) and supports the development and well‑being of infants and toddlers.

You will implement learning plans, collaborate with fellow educators, and help create a nurturing environment that fosters physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 1–2 year college/CEGEP program or diploma.
• Experience with infant and toddler care preferred.
• Ability to work on-site with children in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess children's development to prepare learning plans.
• Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers.
• Develop and implement child-care programs supporting development.
• Assist early childhood educators in delivering programs.
• Encourage creativity through art, drama, music and activity.
• Observe for learning or behavioural issues and report to parents or supervisor.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community providers.
• Plan and maintain a safe, healthy environment for children.
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess the children's development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to his needs.
• Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
• Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
