First Step Daycare in Surrey, BC is seeking an Early Childhood Educator (E.C.E.) to join our caring team and start as soon as possible. You will nurture infants and toddlers and lead activities that promote development.

The ideal candidate holds a 1–2 year college diploma, is fluent in English, punctual, dependable and a collaborative team player. Training is provided for the right person in a permanent, full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities such as telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
• Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural issues and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
• Be knowledgeable about licensing regulations.
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects children’s health, safety, and well-being.
