Job summary

Kidspace Learning Centres Eagle Creek Inc. is seeking dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistants to join our licensed childcare team, serving children from birth to 5 years. You will support infants and toddlers, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.

Work 30-40 hours weekly (Mon-Fri, 7 AM–6 PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch). Requirements: College/CEGEP, Valid ECEA Assistant Certificate, First Aid & CPR, criminal record check.

Qualifications

• College/CEGEP education required.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
• Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties.
• Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers.
• Develop and implement child-care programs supporting physical, cognitive, emotional and social development.
• Storytelling and lead activities with stories and songs.
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents or supervisor.
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects health, security and well-being of children.
