Job summary

BGC Okanagan is seeking two Early Childhood Educator Assistants to join the Webber Road Club in West Kelowna. You will assist in delivering the Early Years Child Care Program, helping children learn, grow and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role requires an Early Childhood Assistant Certification and a current First Aid Certificate, plus successful completion of our screening process including a criminal record check. Hours include both full-time and part-time positions.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Assistant Certification is required.
• Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• Successful completion of Agency screening process, including a criminal record check

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of programs and activities that are consistent with agency core values and core programming areas.
• Ensure that programs develop, engage members, address healthy positive child development and provide members with a sense of belonging.
• Monitor, guide and assist children in daily activities.
• Provide a nurturing, fun and safe environment for children
• Establish positive relationships and open communication with parents/guardians
• Ensure that specific goals of the children and programs are met
• Attends to children's physical needs, which may include diapering, toileting, eating and sleeping.
• Keep program facilities and equipment safe and clean, reporting any repairs and concerns to senior staff.

Hours:

We currently have two positions available:

1. Full-Time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
2. Part-Time: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Rate of Pay:

$21.86 per hour
