Job summary

Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Vancouver Island is hiring a Full-time Early Childhood Educator for Mary’s Place Childcare. You will provide caring, quality programs aligned with the centre’s curriculum and policies, under the guidance of the Program Manager.

A Diploma in ECE, BC license, CPR, and minimum 1 year of relevant experience are required. The role emphasizes collaboration with families and community partners, with benefits including group insurance, pension and paid time off for

• Current BC License to Practice (required).
• A minimum of 1 year of recent relevant experience in an Early Childhood Centre.
• First Aid Certification – Standard CPR (required).
• Experience with children with disabilities is an asset.
• General office management skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, caring and supportive childcare programs.
• Deliver services in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the Centre.
• Operate in alignment with Mary’s Place Childcare policies and philosophy.
• Report to the Mary’s Place Program Manager on program delivery and child wellbeing.

Are you passionate about working with children and creating a positive impact? Look no further! We’re thrilled to announce an opening for a Full-time Early Childhood Educator to join our Mary’s Place Childcare team.

Reporting to the Mary’s Place Program Manager, the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) will provide quality, caring and supportive childcare programs that integrate the philosophy and policies of Mary’s Place Childcare Centre. The Centre works with young children in a group setting delivering service in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the Centre.

Our ideal Early Childcare Educator will bring the following:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (required)
• Current BC License to Practice (required)
• A minimum of 1 year of recent relevant experience working in an Early Childhood Centre
• First Aid Certification – Standard CPR (required)
• Experience working with children with cognitive and physical disabilities and the community supports an asset
• General office management skills an asset

Additional Requirements
