The Learning Circle Inc. is hiring an Early Childhood Assistant to join our team in Abbotsford. This full-time position offers a wage ranging from $18 to $20 per hour, depending on certification and experience, plus a $4 BC Wage Enhancement.

You will assist in creating an engaging and safe classroom environment while collaborating with educators, observing children's progress, and implementing developmental activities. We value teamwork and a passion for early childhood education.

Position Description

The Learning Circle Childcare Centres is currently seeking an Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, enthusiastic, and warm-hearted person who is passionate about working with children. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work collaboratively with Early Childhood Educators to create a safe, clean, and healthy classroom environment. You will interact with children to encourage their participation in activities, assist with classroom instruction, and work to keep the classroom materials clean and organized.

Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant Teacher

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Regular/Temporary: Regular

Hours:
Varies within the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm

Wage:
Ranges between $18 per hour and $20 per hour, depending on certification and experience.
Please note that this range excludes the $4 BC Wage Enhancement, which will be received
by candidates for each hour worked.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy classroom environment.
• Assist in observing and documenting children's development and progress.
• Assist in communicating regularly with families about their children's progress
  and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other team members to create a positive and inclusive
  learning environment.
• Comply with BC child care license regulations.
• Assist in developing and implementing child care programs that support and promote
  children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
• Assist in organizing activities such as storytelling, reading, singing, and
  providing opportunities for creative expression.
• Guide and assist children in developing good eating, dressing, and toileting habits.
• Assist in observing children daily for signs of potential learning needs and assess
  their ongoing interests to incorporate them into programs.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
• Yoga experience or knowledge is an asset.
• Knowledge of French, Spanish, and Sign Language is an asset.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Early Childhood Educator Assistant.
• Valid Emergency Childcare First Aid certificate that meets the requirements
  of BC child care license regulations.
• Team player.
