Job Duties & Responsibilities

As the Early Childhood Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Early Childhood Supervisor with the design and execution of children’s summer/fall programs and events. Planning includes intellectual, emotional, social, character development, and creative activities that foster the development of the whole child. You will work closely with the Supervisor to implement program plans, assist in creating a marketing strategy in collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator, and promote awareness to prospective participants and their parents/guardians.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a day camp setting is an asset.
• Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment, responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members, including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity.
• Availability to work Sundays.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, motivational, and creative team player.
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment.
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada per relevant legislation.
• International students are not eligible.
