Job summary

Professional Staffing in Toronto is seeking an Internal Auditor early in their career to build a solid foundation in internal controls, risk management, financial and operational auditing, and compliance.

You will work with experienced audit professionals and business stakeholders, receiving mentorship and support toward the CPA designation, with future pursuit of the CIA designation as an asset.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Actively pursuing a CPA designation is required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, internal controls, risk, or finance.
• Co-op, internship, or previous experience within a public accounting firm, Internal Audit, Risk, or Finance is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of financial, operational, compliance, and internal control audits.
• Document processes, risks, and controls; assist with testing and working papers.
• Assist with SOX/IFRS/US GAAP alignment and ITGCs.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, IT, and other functions.
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end activities.
• Prepare audit memos and reports for senior team review.
