Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates in a fast-paced warehouse setting. You will mentor and motivate your crew, maintain safety, quality, and productivity, and drive results on a daily basis.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to stand/walk up to 12 hours. Relocation benefits are offered to eligible candidates; sponsorship is not provided now or in the future.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor's or Master’s degree.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs. While shifts vary site to site, most follow a fixed 4-day work week with 3 days off.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT. equipment (at applicable facilities) and step in as needed.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable).
