A leading company in Laval is seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive business development and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in commercial account management, particularly within the banking sector. Responsibilities include identifying sales prospects, assisting in account management, and maintaining strong client relationships. Job Description
· Identify and solicit sales prospects from various sources by cold calls, mailings, and phone contacts, in addition to those provided by the company.
· Solicit referrals from existing accounts.
· Assist in resolving any problems related to accounting or claims.
· Support and enhance the standing of office personnel with clients as part of broader client relationship management.
· Coordinate timely presentations for both new and renewal business.
· Assist in marketing accounts with an appropriately balanced mix of relationship development and product expertise.
· Achieve a balance in production to meet agency "mix of business" goals.
· Arrange for premium payments in a competent manner utilizing internal and external financing, installments, etc.
· Accurately describe policies and endorsements to ensure precise alignment with client needs.
· Assist Account Managers with closing prospective accounts and collaborate on enhancing existing accounts.
· Enhance cross-selling efforts by referring clients to Life and Commercial Lines Departments.
· Meet and track monthly new business premium goals through various sources such as cold calls, referrals, niche marketing, and other avenues.
· Acquire all necessary information for quality new business submissions, including application data, questionnaires, photos, diagrams, and relevant risk data.
· Communicate effectively with marketing departments, underwriters, and loss control staff.
· Assist in presenting new business proposals to clients.
· Arrange for delivery of policies upon receipt from the company.
· Maintain knowledge of underwriting criteria for carriers represented by the brokerage.
· Assist senior staff in evaluating and coordinating risk submissions for selected markets.
· Maintain working relationships with underwriters to facilitate risk placement negotiations.
· Keep current with developments on existing accounts.
· Submit outbound communications (letters, calls, etc.) as required.
· Assist the Senior Account Executive with renewal documentation presentations.
· Maintain client relationships, resolve coverage and payment issues, and counsel clients on coverage questions.
· Obtain, explain, and exchange information with business representatives, clients, contractors/suppliers, employees, and the public.
Requirements
- Over 4 years of diversified commercial account management experience in a bank.
- Experience working in the Ottawa territory.
- Proven track record of business development for financing and credit within a bank.
- French language skills are an asset.
