Based in Thunder Bay, the Survey Crew Chief will report to the Geomatics Project Manager and support community development, construction, and infrastructure projects in Northern Ontario. You'll be part of a team offering traditional surveying, construction monitoring, precision layout, and high-definition 3D laser scanning services.

What You'll Do:

• Complete boundary surveys in various settings including residential, industrial, and remote areas.
• Interpret design documents and perform layout calculations.
• Conduct high-precision surveys such as industrial layout, deformation monitoring, levelling, and GNSS static control surveys.
• Collect data using total stations, high-precision levels, and GPS equipment.
• Oversee quality control of field data collection.
• Collect terrestrial scanning data.
• Interact with clients onsite.
• Mentor and train new staff.
• Contribute to proposals, reports, and deliverables.

Who You Are:

• At least five years of practical experience in surveying.
• Proficient with Trimble or similar survey equipment.
• Comfortable with static control surveys, high-precision layout, and levelling techniques.
• Willing to travel frequently.
• Innovative, hardworking, and eager to develop technical skills.
• Capable of exercising independent judgment and adapting approaches as needed.

What You Should Bring:

• Completed a two-year college program in Geomatics Technology or related field.
• High motivation and results-oriented attitude.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Valid Class G driver’s license.
