The Contingent Labour Office’s (CLO) mandate is to partner with the business to enable an expedited and customer-centric positive approach to engaging external resources, while balancing the commercial needs of the business with risk mitigation for the firm. This is achieved by:

  1. Utilizing internal contingent workforce experts, who stay current on market intelligence.
  2. Acting as trusted advisors, educating and challenging the status quo, and advising on creative solutions.
  3. Delivering a customer-centric approach by minimizing administrative efforts, anticipating needs, and collaborating closely with Hiring Managers.

Location: Anywhere in Canada (virtual work opportunity, with 1-2 days in office per month for meetings).

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Leader of the Contract Labour Office (CLO), the Contract Manager will manage processes and resolve challenges related to external resources across Canada, handling over 1000 cases per year of varying complexity. Responsibilities include:

  • Applying technical expertise to advise and support hiring managers in engaging external resources.
  • Handling complex cases and escalations independently.
  • Managing contract revisions, risk assessments, change management, and relationships.
  • Addressing matters related to classification, independence conflicts, immigration, taxation, data security, and other compliance issues, often partnering with subject-matter experts.
  • Working on high-risk cases involving legislative compliance, firm policies, and external regulations.
Additional Responsibilities

Including case management, continuous improvement projects, and miscellaneous duties such as responding to inquiries, reporting, managing escalations, leading education sessions, and mentoring team members.

Qualifications
  • College or university degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with contract labor or contingent workforce case management.
  • Experience drafting third-party agreements and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of immigration matters related to resourcing.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor and manage multiple stakeholders, including senior members and external providers.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ServiceNow and Flextrack is an asset.

This role requires fluency in English, with the ability to support English-speaking colleagues and stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range in BC is $73,000 to $109,500, with potential bonuses. Salary offers are based on location, skills, and experience. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
