Job description

Our client, a well-established organization located in Northeast Calgary, is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Contractor to join their team. The ideal candidate will support the finance department by managing daily accounting operations. This is a one-month contract role with a hybrid work schedule: in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Review and prepare general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and working papers.
2. Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing.
3. Manage month-end processes and closing.
4. Generate financial statements and management reports.
5. Assist with revenue accruals, audits, tax filings, and year-end closing.
6. Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
7. Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
