Position: Agronomy Technical Services Manager - Eastern Canada

Location: Candidates must reside within Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, or Maritime Provinces).

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 CAD per year, with an annual bonus potential of 20%. Actual pay will depend on skills and experience.

Role Overview: As the Agronomy Technical Services Manager, you will serve as a technical expert supporting North American specialty agriculture business development, focusing on product performance, trial management, and customer support across high-value crops and cropping systems in eastern Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and manage on-farm and university trials for various fertilizers and biostimulants.
  2. Develop experimental protocols aligned with scientific standards.
  3. Translate trial results into sales tools like articles, presentations, and messaging.
  4. Support product development and market needs with new formulations.
  5. Provide agronomic support and training to customers and internal teams.
  6. Collaborate with marketing, R&D, and sales teams to identify opportunities.
  7. Represent the company at industry events with technical presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in agronomy or related field; MS or PhD preferred.
  • 5+ years of field experience in agronomy.
  • Knowledge of fertilizer technologies, markets, and application systems.
  • Strong understanding of experimental design, statistical analysis, and analytical reports.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within Canada.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with fertilizer industry and research trials.
  • Knowledge of high-value crops and irrigation systems.
