About Us:

Change Creates Change Eating Disorder Care (CCC) is a private practice dedicated to eating disorder care, serving children, youth, adults, and their families across Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Ontario.

Our interdisciplinary team of Registered Dietitians and Registered Psychotherapists is committed to compassionate, evidence-based care that supports clients on every stage of their recovery journey.

We are currently seeking a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO) to join our St. John’s, NL team. If you're a collaborative, client-centered professional passionate about helping individuals with disordered eating and eating disorders, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide mental health assessments for pediatric and adult clients with disordered eating and eating disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapeutic care plans
  • Adapt psychoeducation to meet clients’ unique learning needs and cultural, religious, and age-related considerations.
  • Conduct individual and family-supported counselling sessions, ensuring consistent, trauma-informed support.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record that summarizes the therapeutic care plan, including informed consent, assessment, diagnosis, plan, implementation, and progress towards goals.
  • Work closely with our interprofessional care team to ensure a cohesive, client-focused approach.
  • Demonstrate accountability for the proper use of clients’ protected health information.
  • Collaborate with other members of the interprofessional health care team, both internal and external to Change Creates Change.
  • Refer clients to higher levels of care when necessary.

  • Change Creates Change Eating Disorder Care (CCC) is a private practice dedicated to eating disorder care, serving children, youth, adults, and their families across Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Ontario.
  • Optional: Develop and facilitate group programs and community trainings.
  • Optional: Support practicum students from various programs across Canada during placements at Change Creates Change.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A weight-inclusive, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming approach to therapeutic care.
  • Masters degree in Counselling from an accredited university.
  • Active registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT) - Qualifying candidates welcome!
  • Professional liability insurance and a completed vulnerable sector police check.
  • Comfort with electronic documentation and workplace technology.
  • Ability to provide in-person services at our St. John’s office.

  • Responding to general inquiry emails and managing phone calls and voicemails
  • Processing incoming and outgoing faxes
  • Handling direct billing to clients’ insurance providers
  • Issuing invoices and receipts to clients
  • Managing accounts receivable and collecting payments
  • Assisting with marketing and advertising initiatives
  • Providing bookkeeping support
  • Preparing and submitting HST remittance, if applicable
